About CONCACAF
CONCACAF, the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football, governs the sport across North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Founded in 1961 and headquartered in Miami, USA, the confederation is at the very center of the FIFA World Cup 2026, as its three leading members — the United States, Mexico and Canada — are co-hosting the tournament. As host nations, all three receive automatic qualification, and CONCACAF has additional qualifying spots, giving the region its largest-ever representation. Mexico is the region's most successful World Cup nation, having reached the quarter-finals twice, while the United States and Canada continue to develop rapidly. CONCACAF organizes the Gold Cup and the CONCACAF Nations League. With home advantage, passionate crowds and improving squads, the host nations and their CONCACAF rivals aim to make history at the 2026 World Cup on home soil.
